If you know anything at all about the Law of Attraction, you will understand this concept very well. What you think about, you attract, and that happens regardless of whether you’re thinking positive or negative thoughts.
If I put my Energy Practitioner hat on, I facilitate healing, but I don’t actually do the healing – it’s up to my client to make this happen, on a subconscious level. So if subconsciously they are 100% resisting the work I do, then chances are they won’t heal to the extent that they would like to.
If I put my Coach hat on, I work with my clients to achieve their goals. But if they don’t believe they can achieve their goals, then of course they are unlikely to achieve those goals. Why would anyone bother to attempt something they believe they can’t do?
You must have positive intent and believe you can heal or achieve what you want in order to achieve what you want! It sounds pretty simple, but for some of us it takes a while…!
If you are thinking positive thoughts and you’re feeling good, you are in flow – you are allowing what you want to “flow” to you.
If you are thinking negative thoughts or you’re feeling bad, you are not in flow – and you are resisting or turning away what it is you want. In fact, you’re attracting the things you don’t want!
For example, if you’re stressed about money and you’re constantly thinking about your lack of money, what do you think you’re going to attract? That’s right – you’re attracting more lack!
We are all human and it is pretty hard to stay in a positive frame of mind 100% of the time, but with plenty of practise, it is possible to keep yourself in a positive state most of the time. If you can train yourself do this, then the things you desire will begin to flow to you.
If you’re struggling to keep your thoughts and feelings positive, here are a few things you can do to shift you into flow:
- Start a gratitude journal and write in it every single day. Write at least 5 things down every day that you are grateful for. If you’ve had a bad day, maybe you’re grateful that today is over!
- Visualise what it would feel like to achieve your desires. Feel how it feels – really get into the emotion of achieving your dreams!
- Grounding – get outside, take your shoes off, and walk around on the grass. Feel the grass between your toes, and feel the energy coursing up through your legs and through your body!
- Hold your head high, your shoulders back, and smile! It’s extremely difficult to feel bad when you’re looking soooo good!
- Use affirmations. On a little card, write down your desire. Write it in present tense, as though it’s already happened, and read that card every day, several times a day. For example, “I am so happy and grateful now that I own my own beautiful home/have picked up my shiny new car/have married the man of my dreams…” or whatever it is you desire!
If you can make this a daily habit (ok sometimes it’s hard to do this every day, but aim for daily and don’t beat yourself up if you skip a day or two), you will notice that things begin to change in your life as a whole.
You get what you think about, whether you want it or not, so best you think about what you do want, huh?
