Today I felt the need to talk about worry, because I now find myself in a situation where I have a family member making a choice that has triggered a lot of worry inside of me.
I tossed and turned all night, and have been awake since 3am (it’s now just after 5.30am), with these worrying thoughts running through my mind.
So at 4.30am I got up and checked my emails before I came across an Abraham-Hicks quote which appears in the little video embedded here – this one hit home.
I thought about it and I reminded myself that worrying about this situation is not going to make it go away, and in fact, it will cause me more harm than good to let myself continue to focus on this situation if it feels bad to do so.
What I know is that I must trust that everything is working out for me, and the same goes for my very much loved family member, and I just need to let it go. It’s going to be hard (I am only human), but for my own sake, I need to.
As they say, you attract what you think about, whether you want it or not, so I need to shift my thinking to positive things, things that make me happy, things I am grateful for!
And with that, I will write a little gratitude list, to share with you!
- I feel grateful for my wonderful family.
- I feel grateful for our wonderful home and the fact that we live in one of the most beautiful spots in the entire universe (ok, well I think so!)!
- I feel grateful for my regular and consistent income, even during these crazy times!
- I feel grateful for my healthy body that is only going to get healthier, fitter and stronger!
- I feel grateful for my little businesses, which help me to help others, which I know I am supposed to do!
If you’re not feeling so good emotionally right now, it could be that your thoughts are directed to something that you do not want. And if that is the case, shift those thoughts to something that you feel good about – something positive in your life.
If there is a situation you feel bad about, if you have no control over it, do what you can to let it go (I can help you with this if you can’t do it on your own). Otherwise, if it IS something you have some control over, wait until you’re in a more positive frame of mind, so you’re more likely to come up with a positive outcome.
