How do you create an entire year of happiness? Is it even possible to be happy for an entire year? Ok, maybe it’s not possible to be happy for the entire year, but what if you could be happy for most of it?
What do you think could happen if your dominant thoughts are those of happiness and joy? Do you think it would make a difference to your life if you were this way? If so, how does a person stay in the feeling of happiness most of the time? Surely things happen, right?
As you and I have both experienced, there are events and circumstances that just happen that don’t exactly support our desire to feel happy, and it’s perfectly normal to dip occasionally. The key is get yourself out of that dip and back into a happy place, as soon as you can.
For some of you however, it may be difficult to even consider being happy on a regular basis, let alone most of the time, so what could you do to help you get there?
I’m currently reading the book, Power Manifesting by Nick Breau, and in this book, Nick talks about how we create an entire year of happiness. Here’s how it’s done:
- By creating 12 consecutive months of being happy
- If that feels too hard, why not one month of being happy?
- What about four consecutive weeks of being happy? Or one week of happiness?
- What about 7 consecutive days of happiness? Or why not start at one day?
- If that all seems too hard, why not try being happy for 12 consecutive daylight hours? Or why not start at one hour?
- If we’re still asking too much, why not try 60 consecutive minutes of happiness? Or why not start at one minute and repeat it 60 times?
- Still too hard? Ok, why not 60 consecutive seconds of being happy? Why not ONE second of being happy?
Do you get the drift here? Creating an entire year of happiness starts with just one second. You build on that, second by second, minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day… you get the drift!
So while it may not be possible to be 100% happy 100% of the time, it IS possible to find happiness in most moments of every day, and all you need to do is to start at second #1!
