Why on earth would one want to be thankful for what’s going wrong in their life?? What if the situation is really terrible? What if it’s creating so much pain and heartache in your life, you can hardly bear it??
Contrary to what you may think, the worse the situation is, the more important it is for you to be thankful for what’s going wrong, and let me explain why…
If things are going wrong and your focus remains on what’s wrong, you will keep yourself in that negative space, which in turn attracts more to you that’s going wrong. Have you ever noticed that some people seem to have everything going wrong in their lives All. The. Time??
The reason why this happens is because their focus on the “wrong” is attracting more wrong into their lives – they’re in this negative spiral that feels almost impossible to get out of. This is the Law of Attraction at work – they’re creating their own negative reality, purely because their thoughts are focused on what they don’t want!
So what can be done if life is going wrong? The first thing you need to do is show gratitude for it!
Here’s what you do:
- Grab a notebook and at the top of the page, write down a brief summary of the problem you are currently facing.
- Write down 10 things you are grateful for, which relate to the problem. For example, if you’re sick you could be grateful for the fact that you’ve been forced to stop and rest for once. Or if money is a problem, maybe it’s taught you the value of money so you won’t make the same financial mistakes again. Or if your relationship has just ended, maybe it’s taught you that he wasn’t so great after all!
- Once you’ve written down your 10 things, at the bottom, write, “Thank you for sending me the perfect resolution to this problem!”
Once you’ve done this, you can now go about your day, knowing that the Universe is working hard to put together a resolution to your problem – and it will come if you believe! 😉
