In my last post I talked about the power of how 17 seconds of pure, focused thought on what you want, will help you to attract what you do want. But what if you’re thinking about something you don’t want?
Just as pure, focused thought on what you want will help to attract what you want, this same pure, focused thought on what you don’t want will help you to attract what you don’t want.
So… this is where it gets tricky, because I don’t know about you, but when things aren’t going well, people tend to spiral downwards, often getting caught up in the negative story, which they’ll tell to anyone who will listen. Company loves misery, which is why this negative stuff seems to grow so quickly.
It therefore becomes quite easy to focus pure, focused thought on these negative situations, which in turn starts the process of manifestation – the manifestation of what you do not want! Ugh!
So here’s what you can to to shift this…
- As soon as you notice you’re drifting into a negative thought pattern, stop yourself, preferably before you’ve been thinking the thought for 17 seconds
- Acknowledge the thought and the fact that you’re in the process of attracting what you don’t want, and ask yourself “What DO I want?”
- Refocus your thoughts onto what you do want, and do this for at least 17 seconds, or if you’re able, see if you can get this to 68 seconds as I talked about in my last post!
We’re all human, so it’s natural to occasionally think a negative thought, but thankfully we’re all equipped with the ability to choose to shift this to something else. The more you practise this exercise, the sooner it will become second nature.
Before long, you’ll be attracting much less of what you don’t want, and much more of what you do want.
