Everyone has negative thoughts at some point, although those with low confidence or self esteem are much more inclined to let them linger. Not necessarilty because they want them to linger, but more because they don’t know how to get out of their negative mindset.
Believe it or not, reducing or even removing negative thoughts from your mind is easier than you think!
You’ve written down your positive affirmations, you may have even written your goals. You look at your little cards which you have strewn all over your house on a regular basis, but all of a sudden a nasty, negative thought emerges. You have a little voice in your head telling you that you’re worthless, that you will never succeed, your goals are too big for someone like you or that you will never be happy.
How do you stop these thoughts?
Here’s what I do, and I find it works wonders:
Firstly, as soon as I have a negative thought, I immediately tell myself the thought is a load of rubbish. I then look at my goals and affirmations and I read them all (I have a notebook I write all of this in). I then add more things to my list of goals and I close my eyes and visualise myself as achieving that goal. If the negative thought is still in there, I then tell myself (out loud if nobody is around!) that I am a success and whatever goal I have will manifest.
If you’re a person who is able to meditate, then get yourself into the alpha state and visualise your goals and affirmations as being true now!
I promise this will make you feel better!
Try this for a while and see how it works!
Have a great day!
