Today marks my 37th birthday, although I’m telling everyone I’ve turned 29 – again!
I think back to when I was 29 and am amazed at just how far I have come. A few months before my 29th birthday I walked out on my marriage after 9 years of verbal and emotional abuse, so things were looking a little scary at that time.
Since that day 8 years ago I have lived life as a single mother, I eventually met my husband who I married three years later, started my own business, gave birth to my baby girl and now here I am, celebrating my eldest daughter’s 11th birthday (she was born on my 26th birthday) along with my own.
Tonight I am going to write down 10 of the things I am grateful for. To attract more good into our lives, we must first appreciate what we already have:
- My husband
- My daughters
- The fact that the storm held off until after my daughter’s birthday party!
- The wonderful friends who have contacted me today to wish me a happy birthday
- The rest of my family – just because they’re my family!
- My beautiful home (it’s got a pool, which kept the girls busy today!)
- The internet, so I can continue to work from home
- My business contacts who have been so supportive
- My mentors
- Avocados – they’re my current favourite!
I can’t believe how fast the last 37 years have gone, and I look forward to the next 37, although I know I’m going to live long past that!
