Code of Ethics

My Philosophy of coaching

I pride myself in allowing the client to be the expert in his/her life, therefore allowing them the power to discover within themselves where they want to be, and with my guidance, how they are going to get there.

My responsibility is to:

  • Determine what it is the client wants to achieve
  • Encourage client to look within themselves to discover what it is they really want
  • Elicit client-generated solutions and strategies
  • Hold the client responsible and accountable

My definition of coaching

Coaching is an ongoing professional relationship which helps an individual to produce extraordinary results in their work or personal lives.  Through the coaching process, the client will develop a deeper understanding of themselves, improve their performance, and enhance their quality of life.

The client chooses the focus of each coaching session, while the I “listen” and note observations and ask questions.  This interaction creates clarity and moves the client into action.    Coaching provides greater focus and awareness of choice and therefore accelerates the client’s progress.  Coaching concentrates on working towards where the client wants to be in their work or personal life.

I recognise that results are a reflection of the client’s intentions, choices and actions, supported by my efforts and application of the coaching process.

Client’s rights

1. The client has the right to suspend or terminate the coaching agreement at any time, should they so wish.

2. The client has the right to request a copy of their client file, for whatever reason.
