Looking for a compelling enough reason to lose weight?

Princess Leia

If you have a good enough reason to want to lose weight, chances are you’ll achieve your goal. But often people struggle to find that reason that’s compelling enough to push them into action.

Last week I came up with a FABULOUS reason to lose weight! And here it is…

I agreed to attend a work fancy dress function dressed in the dress pictured here! EEEK!

Normally this wouldn’t be an issue, but as you can see, the dress is not only tight around the midsection, but it’s also white! What this means is that every little bulge is going to show! HELP!

If this isn’t a good enough reason for me to get stuck into my workout routines and to eat healthy for the next few weeks, then nothing will be! Haha!

I will post pics from the event so you can see if I achieved my goal, which is of course to look maybe almost as good as the model pictured here…! Princess Leia, eat your heart out!

Confused about what direction to take?

I’ve been sick the last couple of days with a stomach bug which has really caused me to feel a little down as illness can do sometimes.

On top of that, I had a setback with my business that I was not expecting, so I also feel a little disheartened and have been questioning whether I’m on the right track or not.

Should I give up on my business, or should I stick at it?

Is this a sign that I’m not on the right track and should change direction? Or is this a challenge that I’m supposed to face so that I can move onwards and upwards?

In times like this, I often “hear” my intuition, but don’t often listen to it, and as I type this, it’s saying “Keep going! You’re on the right path! This is just a challenge for you to overcome!”…

I suppose most people would give up when faced with the setback I’ve just experienced, but when I really think about it, I have absolutely nothing to lose by continuing on.

I pay a small amount of money each month to receive CDs and books on personal development, and apart from that, I just spend money in my business on things I would buy from other organisations anyway, so it’s not like it’s costing me any more, so I suppose I should continue as I am!

In the meantime, I can learn from my setback and move on. And maybe the reason for this setback is for a higher purpose?? Maybe this was supposed to happen to make room for something bigger and better?

Time will tell I suppose! 😉

So when you’re faced with setbacks in your life, what’s your intuition trying to tell you? What do you have to lose by continuing on your pursuit? If it’s nothing, then what’s stopping you?

What is your “Why”?

Butterfly 70x70

I was at a seminar tonight and was pleased to hear some inspiring stories of people who have achieved great success in a business I am now involved in.

A friend of mine drove us there tonight, and on our way home she said a few things which really helped me to see just how important knowing why you’re striving to succeed is so important. Without that “why”, you will soon lose momentum then stop.

You see, her problem right now is that she doesn’t have that “why”. She doesn’t know what it is. And because of that, she’s not nearly as focused or as driven to succeed in this business as I am right now.

So what are your reasons behind why you’re doing what you do right now?

Do you want to provide a better life for your children?

Do you want to achieve freedom to do what you want, when you want?

Do you want to take overseas holidays every year?

Do you want to help a specific charity?

One of the things I was encouraged to do when I started my new business was to write out 100 dreams. 100 things I wanted to be, do or have, if money or time weren’t a factor.

Write down your 100 dreams and read that list often as a reminder of why you get up every day and do whatever it is you’re doing!

You’re Beautiful – Danielle Aument

I was recently contacted by somebody who wanted to introduce me to a teen pop singer-songwriter Danielle Aument and after listening to her song and watching her video I just had to share.

Danielle has just released her new song “You’re Beautiful” with a video showing friends, fans, and family, including some friends who have lost their battles with cystic fibrosis.

Listen very closely to the words of this beautiful song – you are all beautiful and perfect just the way you are, no matter what you’re going through right now.

Sigh… this really did bring a tear to my eye and I hope you love this song as much as I did!
